Fall Fragrance Launches

A downbeat mood doesn't stop introductions.

Whomever said “it's the economy stupid,” never met a fragrance marketing executive. In good times and in bad, new fragrances continue to debut no matter what the economy is doing—even when the economy isn't doing much. First quarter fine fragrance sales fell 13%, according to NPD Group. Things were worse in the second as sales dropped 37%.
